Advanced Filtering in Analytics

I just noticed this weekend that there is a new filtering feature in analytics that allows you to url by more than one include or exclude filter. Pretty handy when you’re trying to drill down into one group of pages and filter out exceptions.

Arnold Zafra from Search Engine Journal highlights some new features google recently rolled out for analytics:
One of the most helpful for anyone managing a large network of sites may be something called Analytics Intelligence. Anaytics will be rolling this feature out in the coming weeks, and it promises to send both automatic alerts, as well as allowing you to create custom alerts to notify you in case of any statistically significant changes in traffic and site usage patterns.
This can provide valuable timely alerts, letting site managers know about spike or dips in traffic, changes in user navigation or time on site, visits to goal pages, and other important metrics that may otherwise go unnoticed. This may prove most valuable for quickly finding and fixing hiccups in code, server issues or broken pages.
